Troop 43 Star Service Project Ideas for Life RankAll Troop 43 Star Scouts working toward Life Scout Rank are expected to perform a service project which is a benefit to the Troop. This has been a tradition in Troop 43. You can come up with your own idea or talk to some Leaders about ideas. Consider somethings like teaching tools for requirements, beneficial camping gadgets, safety, first aid, troop meeting aids, etc. Below are some recent project ideas as of Nov 09. Scouts must get Scoutmaster approval before beginning a service project while Star and working toward Life Rank. In the past, T43 Star Scout Service Projects have included; making a Klondike Sled, Knot Board, Laminated Eagle Project Display Board, Primitive Wooden Plank Chair, Canvas Case for Flags and Flagpoles, Troop Meeting Box, Saw & Axe Box, Washing Station, Rebuild of Bottle Bin, Portable Easel, Painting Bottle Bin, Troop Trailer Inventory, Washing Stations, Trailer Shelving, Shelving in Grange Closet, Lantern Tree Racks in Trailer, Fishing Rods Box and Log Sawing Stand, Metal Klondike Sled, Shoe Box Planetarium, Duffle Bag-First Aid Kit, etc.   Here are some current project ideas, please feel free to pass along ideas; we will add them to the list. What have you seen that would help the Troop? Thanks!
The Troop will reimburse expenses for projects approved by the Scoutmaster. Be Thrifty! If the project involves some fabrication, let your parents or a leader know if you need some help finding a plan on-line or if you need some tools, paint brushes, paint, or some advice, etc.. Troop 43 Adults have some great talents and resources they are willing share with you. |
